Yin is a Partner and Founder of Genesis and has 18+ years experience in strategy and private equity. Prior to Genesis, Yin was a senior executive for Cover-More (an ASX200 travel insurer and portfolio company of Crescent Capital Partners) responsible for group strategy, investor relations and ancillary revenue. Before Cover-More, Yin was part of the investment team at Crescent Capital, one of Australia’s leading mid-market private equity funds (with over $2.4b raised in capital across six funds) and served as a non-executive director on the boards of Breezeway Group and National Dental Care. Earlier in his career, he spent 7 years with Bain & Co in Sydney, Amsterdam, Singapore and Shanghai offices and was seconded to the Commonwealth Bank’s Asia Strategy Team in Hong Kong and to the International Finance Corporation (investment arm of the World Bank) in Chengdu.

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA (International Studies, East Asia) from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania as well as a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours equivalent) from the University of New South Wales.
